This is the Top Feature area and there are two ways to edit the content

  • The first way is to edit the feature.php file where the content you're reading is located.
  • The second way is to just add text widgets or any other widget to the top feature location. That's the recommended method if you are not comfortable editing HTML code.
  • As you add widgets, save the theme options and this area will automatically detect the number of widgets and divide into equal-width columns, one for each widget.

Hi there, welcome back to my website. In this post, I am going to tell you how and why I choose the products to promote in Amazon.

For me, I like to promote products that are under the Home & Kitchen section in Amazon. The reason for this is because every household definitely buy things under this section such as vacuum cleaners, washing machine, coffee makers etc…

You can of course select the categories that you would like to promote products from if the category fits into the criteria that I myself is using for all my Amazon sites. So now, let me tell you how I select the products to promote.

Firstly, the product categories that I have chosen need to have expensive items preferably more than $100. This is because the commission that you make from Amazon is 4-8% and you need to have expensive items to increase your earnings. Examples of such categories are vacuum cleaner, refrigerators, coffee machines and much more.

Next, the product that you choose got to be “complicated”. What I mean by this is that there should be different type of functions, models, brands for the products so that people will start to search online for reviews. When people start to search for “Product Name” + “Reviews” keyword and found your website, the traffic will be targeted and conversion will be much higher. The above examples that I have stated are good examples.

The other thing to look out for is the number of reviews for that product categories. If the product types fit the above 2 criteria but not this, you should not carry on to promote products in that niche. The reason being that if there are only a few reviews on average in that niche, it means that there are less people buying products for that category.

The next thing to look out for is the average rating. A lot of people mentioned that the average rating should be around 4 stars and above but for me it is different. If I choose the products in a particular niche (e.g. sewing machines) to promote, I do not really care about the rating of that product. If the average rating of a particular product is poor, I will still write review for that product and in that review I will state the truth about the poor rating and recommend another product (in the same niche) to my readers at the end of the review.

This is the first post of my blog and in this post, I am going to tell you why you should use Amazon to start making your first dollar online if you have not make any money on the internet yet.

Before I start to make my first dollar on the internet, just like you, I have bought a lot of products on how to make money online. So, before I successfully generate my first dollar online, I have already spent quite a lot on those products. Clickbank was the first method that I have tried out and no matter how hard I tried, I just do not know how to send those traffic to my website. What is even worst is that I have created many sites about promoting Clickbank products and after I finished those sites, I just leave it there not knowing what to do with it.

Fast forward to today, I have a few of the Amazon review sites that is making me around 100+ per month with me only working about 2 to 3 hours maintaining it. As I have mentioned in the about me page, although I have made some money online, but it is not making me rich yet and I am aiming to my goal of getting out of that dreadful rat race.

So, here comes the main part, why do you want to use Amazon to make money online? Let me tell you the pros and cons of Amazon and why should you give it a try to earn some income.

Pros:

  • Each and every year, people are spending more and more money on Amazon and it is very common for people to have an Amazon account nowadays.
  • The reputation of Amazon is so huge¬† that it has already gain trust from people around the world.
  • Since Amazon is selling physical items, people are more willing to spend money on them compared to digital products such as ebooks, audio etc.
  • If people click on your affiliate link and do not buy the products that you recommend but bought other items instead, you still get to earn the commission.

Cons:

  • Payments from Amazon – whatever amount you earn from Amazon during the current month, they will only give out the payment 2 months after that.
  • Amazon only gave 4% of the commission as compared to digital products which can give an average of about 50% – 75% commissions. I will tell you why it is worth your time in becoming an Amazon associates.
  • 24 hours cookie time. If after people click on your affiliate link and they do not buy within 24 hours, you lose your commission if they do buy after the 24 hours period.

After knowing the pros and cons of becoming an Amazon associates, I will tell you why the pros easily outweigh the cons and why you should choose to make money with this method in my next post.
